Family Update: Dominoes, Salad Bar, Beyblade Championship

This is what our family has been up to!

Liberty found a great set of dominoes at a garage sale! It's a great game for learning how to count up by 5's and 1's. Now the kids play it often and we've even incorporated them into our math studies!

We had our very own salad bar for dinner one night! It was perfect for a warm night here in Tucson! The bar included iceberg lettuce, spinach, raisins, dried cranberries, chickpeas, black beans, ham, pepperoni, bacon bits, mozerella cheese, cheddar cheese, pecans, almonds and sunflower seeds, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, croutons, along with italian, ranch, strawberry walnut and thousand island dressing! It was a big hit and I'm planning to do it again very soon! Next time I'll add some broccoli, green peppers and boiled eggs.

So, growing up pogs were the popular thing. Then it was pokemon cards and now it's beyblades! My wonderful husband put together a championship and we all had a lot of fun spinning our fancy tops and watching them bump into each other on the piece of a big dog kennel! Chris even had a belt made for the champion! We've had another one since then and I see more in the future now that even mommy and daddy have their own beyblades too!
